Salary: £12.82 to £14.61 per hour (dependent on payroll choice at interview)
Location: Market Drayton and surrounding areas
Start Date: January start dates available!
Hours: Flexible hours, typically 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. No weekends!

We are seeking dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across settings in Shropshire. Our schools approach education differently, tailoring learning experiences to meet students’ individual needs and interests. We aim to equip them with the life skills and confidence to thrive, whether pursuing further education or employment. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday.
Role and Responsibilities of a SEMH Teaching Assistant
Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in their daily learning and development.
Building positive and trusting relationships to encourage engagement and personal growth.
Assisting with tailored educational activities that focus on life skills and practical learning.
Promoting emotional resilience and a positive mindset in students.
Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
Helping students to develop social and communication skills through structured and unstructured activities.
Maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will need to provide:
Qualifications: Qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 1, 2, or 3) OR at least 6 months of experience working within a UK-based school.
Experience: Minimum of 6 months teaching experience within the UK curriculum.
Compliance: A 10-year checkable work/education history. Candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide proof of the ‘Right to Work in the UK’.
Essential: A driving license and access to a car.
