Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project is a 5-year project which will see the creation of a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead in Scotland to Drax in England. This will be the longest HVDC Cable in the UK and the UKs single largest transmission project ever, providing enough power for 2 million UK homes. The project is a JV with Hitachi Energy (HEBAM).
HEBAM will be responsible for the construction of two HVDC Convertor Stations one in Peterhead and one at Drax. These works will cover all aspects of engineering including, Earthworks, FRC, Piling, Utilities, Major Structures, Building Fit Out, Building MEP, HVDC Equipment Install.
Reporting to the Projects management team, the Project Environment Manager will play a crucial role in meeting our regulatory requirements whilst complying with BAMs internal procedures and our clients.
Your work environment
1. This role requires candidates to be in the Peterhead, Scotland office at least 3 days a week with the remaining 2 days from home.
