Overview
As a Security Operations analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based systems. Your expertise will be essential in safeguarding digital assets, managing risks, and implementing robust security controls. Responsibilities
1. Develop Approach to Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct security assessments for
FedRAMP-approved cloud service providers. Ensurepliance with security standards and controls.
2. Provide Technical Expertise: Offer insights on moving systems to the cloud, assess potential security risks, and rmend necessary security measures.
3. Perform Security Design Reviews: Evaluate the security implications of introducing new technologies within the cloud environment.
4. Influence Security Best Practices: Work closely with engineering teams to promote adherence to security policies, standards, and guidelines.
5. Consult with Partner Teams: Collaborate with IT, security operations, corporateernance, and product development teams on deep technical security and risk considerations.
6. Create Security Automation: Utilize AWS services (such as Lambda) to automate security processes.
Qualifications
7. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inputer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related fields1.
8. Certifications: Relevant certifications, including
AWS,
CISSP,
CCSP,
CISA,
CISM.
Experience: Proven work experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role in information security. Familiarity with cloudputing technologies and workload transition challenges.
Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security event analysis2.
