Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: UK-Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Role Overview
To contribute to the Electrical Design process, including building project files, creating schematics and block cable diagrams, updating current drawings whilst following recognised and current IEC drawing standards.
Responsibilities:
1. To create electrical schematics and update others for control panels and external functions.
2. To compile these into a project file from which you will generate cutting lists and cable schedules.
3. Block cable diagrams are to be created based on the system schematics. Part and cable information is to be entered within drawing files.
4. To liaise with production engineers to update schematic drawings, BCD's and cable schedules as project builds progress.
5. To carry out and compile EHSR reports on all products.
6. To work in various other parts of the business in different roles when deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
7. Ideally the applicant will have some experience as an electrical engineer or panel wire person working within the automation and control industry.
8. Proficient in Eplan software for electrical design
9. Must preferably have some knowledge of control wiring, PLC wiring, Low voltage switchgear and Field I/O applications and also some knowledge of working with electrical schematics, block cable diagrams and cable schedules.
10. Applicant must be proficient using windows 7 or higher and Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
11. The applicant should have excellent communication skills and have the aptitude to work with colleagues at all levels.
12. They should be very well organised and have the ability to work in a structured manner under pressure.
13. It is essential that the applicant is hard working and can take on additional responsibilities should they see the need to.
14. We are looking for an applicant who is a quick thinker and a strong learner.
15. They will need to work comfortably in a team, whilst it may also be necessary for them to work alone on their own initiative.
16. The applicant must be punctual and committed to learning and be exceptionally organised and have a fine eye for attention to detail.
17. We are looking for someone who is very highly motivated with a can do attitude, a positive outlook, and who should be presentable and professional at all times.
