About the Team
Do you want to make an important contribution to improving the lives of children and their families? Bright Start Children’s Centres provide vital early help and support to families with children under 8 years from across Bath and North East Somerset so they may have the best start in life. We are looking to recruit a friendly and welcoming Receptionist/Administrator to join our happy team on a casual basis.
About You
You will need to have experience in a customer-facing role with excellent customer service and administration skills, strong attention to detail, and a courteous and effective manner. The successful applicant must be willing to travel across all three Children’s Centre sites in Bath, Keynsham and Radstock with a flexible approach to cover sickness, annual leave and other absences that could be at short notice.
About the Role
We have a team of five Receptionist Administrators at our three Children’s Centres so this role will provide plenty of opportunities for work providing cover throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answering the phone promptly and dealing with enquiries efficiently,
* Supporting building health, safety and compliance,
* Making new room bookings using Outlook,
* Processing petty cash claims and other simple finance functions,
* General administration tasks e.g., photocopying, data entry, typing and taking minutes, updating spreadsheets where necessary,
* Meeting and greeting visitors face-to-face,
* Dealing with challenging situations in a calm, empathic manner,
* Working as a team in supporting visitors, colleagues, and service users,
* Provide cover for absent colleagues in other areas.
