Head of Sales (Maternity Leave Cover) at Somesuch
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Sales to join the Somesuch London team for a period of maternity leave cover from November 2024 to September 2025.
As Head of Sales, you will lead our London-based sales department and oversee the company’s sales activities across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asian commercial production markets.
You will represent Somesuch and act as a key ambassador for the company, continuing to grow Somesuch’s reputation and influence amongst the industry at large and driving our creative excellence and ambition.
Your role will include:
* Continue to build relationships across the industry, with a focus on nurturing relationships with the bastions of craft-led, award-winning work and those within agencies, brands and platforms at the forefront of advertising creativity;
* Host regular screenings for agencies and direct-to-client (if appropriate) to ensure our work and roster of directors is consistently being seen across the industry;
* Receive new scripts on behalf of our directors, send out briefs, follow up with directors and navigate director switch-sells wherever possible with the aim of keeping the best scripts ‘in the building’,
* Host regular and varied forms of agency and client entertainment, and
* Oversee all sales decks and any other creative sales team output including newsletters, invitations etc.
The Sales Team:
* Oversee our commercial Directors’ Rep, regularly strategising with them on the best sales approach, ensuring Somesuch and our directors are represented appropriately and to the highest standard, both in terms of creativity and professionalism, at all times, and
* Ensure that the workload is spread evenly between yourself and our Directors’ Rep, that time and resources are focused appropriately and effectively, and that communication amongst the team is seamless
Directors:
* Maintain regular communication with all directors both in person and via calls/emails;
* Proactive engagement in the development of each individual director’s career progression;
* Regular consideration to our roster of Emerging Talent and opportunities that will benefit and advance their directing careers, and
* Staying alert to new and emerging unsigned directing talent outside of our Emerging Talent roster.

* Regularly check and update director reels and work with our MD and EPs to ensure each of our directors’ newest and best work is shown on the site and our directors are represented here appropriately.
Awards and Festivals:
* Oversee industry awards entries alongside our MD and ensure that our Rep submits entries on time and to the highest standard possible, and
* Attending awards shows and industry festivals wherever possible, working to facilitate a unique Somesuch presence at these events – screenings, Q&As / panel discussions, parties or dinners etc.
