Adult Services Team Manager - Cardiff

We are looking to recruit a personable, flexible and motivated Adult Services Team Manager to support our qualified staff with the delivery of care to our users. Your new role
1. Responsible for oversight of a variety of projects across our services, including the One-stop shop, the community outreach team, along with the DRIVE project workers.
2. Manage a multi-faceted team of IPA’s (Independent Personal Advisors) and IDVA’s (Independent Domestic Violence Advocates) through promoting and supporting effective team working
3. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the team, providing advice and guidance, regular case management, supervision and staff inductions.
4. Work closely with the other team managers, Services Manager and Director to always ensure quality of service.
5. Participate in the senior management team’s strategic development by identifying and implementing ongoing continuous service improvement
6. Facilitate staff development, including mentoring, delivering training, facilitating regular team meetings, observing practice etc.
7. Ensure adequate provision of services for all women, children and young people accessing the service.
8. To respond and manage service user feedback
9. Adhere to the organisation’s policies and procedures and comply with data protection legislation, safeguarding legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.
10. Support service users and advocate internally and externally using a trauma-informed holistic approach.
11. Work effectively in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies
What you'll need to succeed
You will need at least 6 months experience in a managerial role supporting victims of domestic abuse, understand how to respond to safeguarding issues and understand the legal responsibilities surrounding the issues. You will also need experience of managing referrals, working within a multi-agency and legislative framework, and you MUST HOLD AN IDVA TRAINING CERTIFICATE. Driving is essential for this role, and you must be open to on-call duties as well as working from Monday – Friday.
