We are looking for a professional and experienced Testing Electrician working in a fast-paced environment and high ambitions to join the team.
Due to a continued growth in workload, we require several qualified and experienced Testing and Remedial Electricians.
Job Duties:
1. Good sound electrical knowledge.
2. Experienced in EICR's in commercial/Industrial properties.
3. Extensive knowledge of single and three-phase fault finding and 1st time fixes.
4. To conduct electrical repairs / minor works.
5. To liaise with the helpdesk for planned and routine maintenance programmes and reporting procedures.
6. To always work according to recognised industry standards.
7. To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales.
8. To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development).
9. Ability to act on own initiative.
10. Able to pass enhanced DBS disclosure.
11. Full driving clean licence required (Minor offences / points may be considered).
12. Own hand tools required; a van for business use, tablet device, and uniform will be supplied as will any specialist/test equipment.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Must have previous experience working in commercial EICR completion & comfortable working independently and within a team in the building services engineering industry.
2. Ideally be ECS JIB registered.
3. C&G 2391 OR C&G 2394 & 2395 OR EAL 2625 (inspection and testing) - Candidates will be considered without this if they are willing to do it and fund it themselves in the first 6 months.
4. C&G 2382 (18th edition regulations) - 17th will be considered if candidates commit to doing the 18th in the next three months.
5. C&G 2360 part 1 and 2 OR C&G 2330 level 2 and 3 OR C&G 2365 level 2 and 3 (electrical theory).
6. C&G 2356 NVQ level 3 OR C&G 2346 NVQ level 3 OR C&G 2357 NVQ level 3 (portfolio/experienced worker assessment).
7. AM2 (practical skills test).
Extra Information:
1. Very little working away from home and hotels are kept to a minimum due to costs.
2. Usually, the work is within a 50-mile radius.
3. Candidates must be very competent with completing EICR's.
