Employment and Partnership Coordinator
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for an Employment and Partnership Coordinator to be responsible for Employment Pathways, with a focus on brokering employment opportunities for candidates engaged with the service, working with key stakeholders such as employers, training partners, Salford Council internal commissions and network providers. They will support employers’ recruitment, workforce development and business needs. They will support training partners with robust communication and course coordination.
We help to make a lasting difference to the residents and employers across Salford on behalf of Salford Local Authority, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.
Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a range of pathways into employment including liaising with training partners, employers, key internal and external stakeholders.
2. Liaise with employers and other organisations to source placement opportunities that may lead to sustainable employment for Supported Employment Service candidates.
3. Present and promote appropriate product/services in line with the wider Growth Company/ Salford Council strategy.
4. Robust Communication with all stakeholders which will include (but not exclusively): case studies, marketing outcomes, customer data and MI.
5. Attend and organize local networking events, recruitment fairs, conferences to promote benefits of the programme.
6. The post holder will support the employment, skills, and training interventions around the full lifecycle of construction and the built environment, they will support the delivery of the Build Salford Strategy and outcomes.
7. Develop ongoing relationships with stakeholders who have used services previously, ensuring that repeat business is generated,
8. Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings (until 7pm) and Saturday morning (until 1pm).
About you:
9. A warm, approachable style to delivery is required in order to build relationships and rapport.
10. Dynamic, tenacious, values driven individual with a commitment to achieving the identified outcomes specific to the role.
11. To act as an ambassador of The Growth Company and Salford Council at all times.
12. Good knowledge of welfare to work and the customer base.
13. Understanding of ESOL requirements and barriers/ challenges.
14. Strong IT skills.
15. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
16. Time management and planning own workload.
Skills Required:
17. Must have previous sales experience and negotiation skills.
18. Results driven and experience of working in a target driven environment.
19. Excellent end to end recruitment skills.
20. Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, methods of recruitment and growth industries.
21. Recent experience of working to challenging targets within a sales environment.
22. Ideally experience of securing vacancies/placements.
23. Experience supporting candidates with disabilities such as autism and learning difficulties.
24. Ability to communicate with businesses at all levels.
