Belmont Recruitment is seeking experienced and motivated Criminal Justice Recovery Workers to join the Criminal Justice Team within Middlesbrough Council. This role is critical for providing support to individuals struggling with substance misuse who are involved in the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will have experience in substance misuse services and will be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, including those court-ordered to receive drug and alcohol treatment and individuals referred from criminal justice partners, such as prisons and probation services.
2. Assessments: Conduct personalized assessments, risk assessments, and triages to determine the appropriate level of care for each client.
3. Intervention Delivery: Provide one-on-one support and facilitate group sessions focused on psychosocial interventions aimed at helping clients achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with probation officers, prison staff, police, court staff, and both internal and external clinical teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
5. Client Support: Offer continuous support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their recovery journey while maintaining compliance with court orders or probation conditions.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Previous experience in substance misuse services or related fields is highly desirable but not essential. Experience in caseload management, care planning, risk management, and working with vulnerable populations is essential. Candidates with lived experience of substance misuse are encouraged to apply.

Salary: £18 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS required
