About Our Client
Our client is a privately owned SME in Leeds with a long-standing and stable team. With a solid reputation for quality and reliability, they operate on a national scale across a wide variety of industries.
Job Description
1. Oversee all financial operations.
2. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
3. Produce the management accounts and present these to the MD and owners (when necessary).
4. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
5. Add value through commercial relationships across the wider business.
6. Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
7. Work closely with warehouse management, sales, marketing, supply chain, and HR.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
1. Qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA.
2. Familiarity with financial software - EXCEL and comfortable with analysing high volumes of data.
3. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
4. Sharp time management skills.
5. Strong ethics, with a high level of honesty and integrity.
6. A strong team player who is comfortable with being an integral part of senior management.
