Key Responsibilities of a Deputy Home Manager:
1. Build professional relationships with the residents and staff at your establishment and throughout the company.
2. You will be able to communicate effectively with outside agencies to promote the service.
3. Be responsible for working as part of a team and growing the staffing requirements to meet the needs of residents.
4. Conduct and effectively manage the staff team.
5. Be required to have a share in on call duties.
6. Be responsible for ensuring compliance is set out in line with CQC guidelines.
Requirements:
7. Knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards for CQC registered services, including the need for the management and delivery of person-centred services.
8. Able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
9. Willing to be on-call when the service requires me to.
10. Experience of providing effective supervision, leadership, and management of staff.
11. Must have experience of directly working with people with mental health/learning disabilities or associated needs.
12. Must have experience of working within statutory agencies.
13. Strong communication skills both written and oral.
14. Competent Safeguarding skills and knowledge.
15. Good understanding of Confidentiality and Information Governance.
16. Demonstrable leadership quality’s ability to effectively manage performance and conduct of others.
