Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Inpatient team therapy team at RSH. This post holder will work clinically on our Oncology ward at RSH supporting a Band 5 Physiotherapist and collaborating with a Band 6 Occupational Therapist. The post holder will work closely with the Macmillan Integrated Therapy Team to provide expert Oncology knowledge and advice to Therapy colleagues within the wider Inpatient team.
The post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The post includes involvement in the in service training rota as well as clinical supervision of both therapy staff and students.
Participation in the weekend respiratory, orthopaedic and discharge rotas will be expected and the on call respiratory out of hours service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will treat Oncology patients on Ward 23 including rehabilitation and discharge planning which may be complex.
