In the context of an HVDC offshore Project, the Project Risk Manager will take responsibility for all elements of the risk management approach, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading the facilitation of the risk management process; identification, assessment, and proactive management of risks (both threats and opportunities).
2. Ensuring risk data is kept up to date and using industry best practice according to ISO31000:2018 standards.
3. Engaging the project team in the risk management requirements proactively and establishing a risk management culture.
4. Developing Risk Management Plan, maintaining risk registers, preparing risk reports & analyses to support management in decision-making.
5. Automating and increasing efficiency in elements of the implemented risk management processes, tools, and templates.
6. Leading risk workshops with the project teams, including partners and clients.
7. Integrating Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) for Cost and Schedule in the project, helping management interpret results and make decisions using QRAs.
8. Ensuring consistency of approach and knowledge sharing across projects.
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience with large & complex engineering focused projects (major infrastructure, rail, highways, oil & gas, nuclear).
2. Previous experience in consultancy environments.
3. Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (QCSRA).
4. Expert with industry tools such as @risk, Safran, ARM, Xactium.
5. Broad and diverse background i.e., Project Management, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), or Data analytics.
6. Ability and interest to deep dive into complex analytical issues.
7. Competencies equivalent to PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional).
8. Mastery of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel) to support these analytics is required.
9. Willingness and ability to travel (nationally/internationally - around 30%).
