Job overview
Please note this post is open to internal applicants only
University Hospitals Sussex Trust has opportunities for radiographers to join our hardworking teams based at Worthing Hospital.
We are looking for a highly-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our diverse radiographer team. You will be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whose aim is to provide a polite, friendly and patient-focused service to patients attending a busy Radiology Department.
Main duties of the job
You will be mentored through a comprehensive induction programme using DR equipment and taught CT head initially. Induction will include rotation through all areas of the general departments, theatres and fluoroscopy. You will be expected to work cross site between Worthing and Southlands sites and there may be occasion for cross site working to Chichester. Free hospital transport runs between base sites.
Our departments are focused on providing an excellent level of service for our patients and a supportive environment for our staff. We support continual learning and development.
The Trust is committed to staff health & wellbeing offering many activities including access to staff physio and other specific programmes.
We ask that you demonstrate exceptional clinical and professional standards, consistently deliver the highest quality patient-focused care to our patients, and provide evidence of ongoing CPD.
We require all radiographers to have a positive attitude to team working and good organisational and communication skills.
Please note that all qualified applicants must hold, or be due to qualify in 2025, a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent and HCPC registration.
In common with many imaging departments the demand continues to increase and therefore a commitment to providing seven day services, extended working days, weekends, standby and on call duties are requirements of the successful candidate.
