Spencer Ogden is continuing it's exclusive partnership with a global IPP to support with the recruitment and onboarding of a Land Manager to their team in Scotland. Our client is one of Europe's largest generators of renewable energy and develops a mixed-technology portfolio of renewable projects. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, evaluating and for securing land for largescale renewable developments. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and support project opportunities for the development and acquisition of onshore wind, solar, and hydrogen projects in the UK, with a specific focus on Scotland. Identify and engage with landowners to negotiate and draft competitive land agreements. Lead commercial negotiations with landowners, ensuring favourable terms for the company. Represent the business in a professional manner, strengthening the company’s presence and reputation within the UK market. Monitor project progress, oversee budgets, and ensure effective control measures are in place to track milestones. Support the UK leadership team in developing the business development strategy, setting KPIs, defining key objectives, and managing market-specific budgets. Qualifications: A developer or acquisition surveyor with experience in renewable energy or a related sector, seeking career growth or a new challenge. Proven experience negotiating land agreements for renewable projects in Scotland. Strong understanding of UK legal processes and land agreements. Familiarity with the economics and regulations of farming and forestry. Experience working with development appraisal models. Background in renewable energy project acquisition and development within the UK market, with a solid understanding of the UK renewable energy consenting and development process.
