Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOs) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. YOUR ROLE
Are you an experienced technical supervisor with a strong background (EO) and logistics? We are seeking dedicated EO Technical Supervisor to join our team at the Defence Weapons Research Facility (DWRF) in Edinburgh. In this role, you will lead and supervise EO facilities and operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in handling and managing advanced ordnance technologies.
Based on the Edinburgh Parks site, on Kaurna land, your role purpose will be critical to our successful operations in the following ways:
8. Supervise EO technical staff and manage the operation of DST EO S&T sites. Ensure safety and compliance with relevant regulations and protocols
9. Oversee the storage, handling, and transport of project assets, EO, and Non-Explosive Dangerous Goods (NEDG). Perform stock control tasks, including inspections and inventory assurance
10. Manage and maintain EO facilities, conduct inspections and maintenance on load-shifting equipment and vehicles, and support general housekeeping of EO and warehouse facilities
11. Provide technical and logistical support to AOT, ORF, and DWRF stakeholders. Assist with asset disposal and contribute to the improvement of logistical processes
12. Ensure compliance with all security protocols, occupational health and safety policies, and environmental guidelines. Participate in emergency evacuation teams and drills
YOUR EXPERIENCE
13. Knowledge of storage, distribution and/or warehousing as well as MS office suite
14. Ability to lead a small team with proven stakeholder engagement skills
15. Current holder (or have held in the past) of a Defence Security Clearance NV1 or above
16. Knowledge and experience of EO facilities inspection and stock checks
