The US Navy Price Fighters invite all engineering, math, science, operations research, economics and business majors who are interested in a civilian acquisition career with the Navy to apply.
Price Fighters seek candidates who want to help the Federal Government reduce total ownership cost for Department of Defense procured materiel that encompasses a wide range of items, from piece parts through complete weapon systems. The Price Fighters are a devoted group of engineers, technicians and analysts who provides direct engineering-based cost analyses and contract negotiation support throughout the complete spectrum of acquisition. Price Fighters supports the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Department of Defense and Civilian Federal Agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard and NASA.
The Department of the Navy (DON) is more than ships, airplanes and sailors; it is over 181,000 civilian employees at Navy and Marine Corps commands, bases, stations and facilities throughout the and around the world. It requires a highly trained, educated and skilled workforce to support todays sophisticated Navy and Marine Corps ships, airplanes, weapon systems and computer systems. Over 37,000 acquisition professionals perform cradle to grave management of highly technical systems, equipment, facilities, supplies and services.
This position is located at the Price Fighters Department in Norfolk, VA.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
Save taxpayer dollars while supporting the warfighter with a career at Navy Price Fighters (NPF), a division within NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. As an employee at Navy Price Fighters, you will support government customers with proposal evaluations to ensure defense contracts are awarded at a fair and reasonable price.
NPF is small group of civil service technical experts that was founded in order to fight price gouging brought to light in the 1980s by the Congress. Our original objective was to help the Department of Defense and other civilian federal agencies combat paying for "ordinary products at extraordinary prices."
Today, the NPF division has expanded in expertise and services offered with a long-standing reputation of providing superb results. We provide analytical and technical support to our customers throughout the acquisition and sustainment life cycle for various weapon systems. Our success thrives on a diversified workforce made up of engineers, operations research analysts, business management specialists, and industrial specialists with varying backgrounds, skills, experiences, and career paths. At our core, our mission is to save taxpayer dollars while supporting the warfighter.
