Due to a reshuffle within the pastoral department, our client Secondary school located in the central Birmingham area wish to appoint a permanent Pastoral Manager in the new year of 2025
Full-time Pastoral Manager position in Birmingham.
Non teaching role, responsible for pastoral and behaviour.
Experience within a similar role desirable.
Manage the responsibility of a large year group and a full pastoral team.
Applicants wishing to be considered for this opportunity:
Will have previous experience of a role with similar responsibilities including leading and managing areas such as a whole year group or supported with similar.
Must be able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential and be inspirational to both colleagues and students.
Must be confident cooperating with senior staff as well as a large cohort of teachers/teaching assistants/support staff.
Roles and responsibilties
• To contribute to the whole School Improvement Plan
• To contribute to and support the Key Stage Learning Co-ordinator in planning programmes of intervention for those students who show significant underachievement and barriers to learning Student Management
• To participate in the development and implementation of strategies to maintain acceptable student behaviour
• To be responsible for the management of student behaviour within the year group
• To develop and implement strategies to ensure that the year group attendance and punctuality is at or above the school target
• To develop and manage systems for the monitoring and tracking of students out of lessons
• To establish and manage a programme of enrichment activities to enhance motivation and raise attainment
• To motivate and reward student and work with teachers to ensure they continue to motivate as well as challenge students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
