Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), part of Kedrion Biopharma, is recruiting an HR Advisor for a 12 months FTC to join the Human Resources team located in Elstree, Hertfordshire.
Working collaboratively with employees, business managers and stakeholders, the HR Advisor will support the HR function in achieving its’ objectives by providing comprehensive and professional HR advice, managing employee relations matters and completing HR projects.
This role will suit an HR professional who is passionate in supporting and working closely with all levels in the business, who would like to develop their career within employee relations and enjoys getting involved in on-going projects whilst ensuring the HR department is nurturing a healthy work environment.
Headquartered in Elstree, Herts, BPL manufactures pharmaceutical products derived from human blood plasma. These products are used to treat patients for conditions such as immunodeficiencies, coagulation disorders and critical care (blood volume deficiency).

Duties & Responsibilities will include -
Business Support
* Provide comprehensive and professional advice to employees, business managers and stakeholders on HR matters including HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
* Use up to date HR knowledge on practices and employment law to ensure appropriate advice and guidance is provided at all times.
Employee Relations
* Act as the HR lead in employee relations matters including sickness absence reviews, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
* Advise managers on appropriate strategies in dealing with people matters and applications of BPL’s HR policies.
* Support HR Business Partners in large scale employee relations activities including restructuring, consultations and subject access requests.
* Manage leave requests including maternity and paternity leave.
* Manage flexible working requests.
* Conduct exit interviews for band A and B employees, escalating issues and trends to relevant HR Business Partner(s) and suggesting appropriate strategies for overcoming trends.
HR Administrative & cross-functional support
* Provide support to Recruitment, Payroll and Compensation & Benefit teams as required.
Projects
* Participate in planning and implementing various employee relations and employee engagement initiatives.
* Deliver HR projects to support the attainment of business and HR objectives.
* Update BPL policies to align with appropriate legislation and best practice.
Training and Development
* Deliver HR Orientation to new joiners and Line Manager orientation to new managers.
* Deliver HR training to people managers across the business as required.
Skills & experience to help you within the role –
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to use problem solving skills and initiative.
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to achieve positive working relationships.
* Experience of managing ER cases
* Demonstrable experience of advising and supporting managers in HR matters
* Knowledge of best practice HRM and up to date with relevant legislation
* Must be flexible in approach to workloads.
* Work effectively and contribute in a team.
