Lecturer in Creative Industries

The Pathway is focused on delivering a high-quality student experience to achieve academic success, to realise this aim we are seeking a passionate and experienced creative lecturer to join us.
A little more about the role: As Lecturer, you will contribute to the teaching of Creative Modules (Introduction to Creative Practice & Creative Project) at level 3. In addition, you will guide and support international students to develop their creative language and English competence, and academic skills required to successfully progress into the university. What you’ll get up to:
Plan, prepare and deliver learning across the Creative Industries Pathway programme delivered at the QAHE Pathway College. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, responding promptly to all queries and being available during work hours. Complete administration required including registers, student feedback, progress monitoring, sponsor reports, etc.
Pattern of Hours:
January: 7 hours (two 3-hour classes and one 1-hour tutorial)
February – April: 14 hours (four 3-hour classes and two 1-hour tutorials)
May – July: 7 hours (two 3-hour classes and one 1-hour tutorial)
What You’ll Bring to the Team: Key requirements include:
A minimum Level 6 qualification within a creative discipline (BA, BSc, BEd)
A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed, DET, DETLA, DipSol)
Ideally, experience working with international students at Levels 3 and 4; however, a strong interest in supporting learners’ development as they transition into Levels 4 and 5 is essential.
