Aftermarket Service Coordinator
Location – Gateshead
Hybrid Working Model – 3 days in the office, 2 from home
Role Overview
With strong leadership skills and a customer mindset you will be responsible for the coordination of a team of skilled Service Engineers, who perform in-field services, including commissioning, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
You will bring a strong background of planning and executing projects to the role, with experience of working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver quality and reliability through our team. You care for your team and lead as a good example to ensure safe service execution, where the health and wellbeing of our employees are our top priority.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for customer satisfaction, and management of customer expectations on field service jobs.
* Conducting risk reviews and analysis of field service projects in-line with company processes.
* Close cooperation with all internal stakeholders to ensure a one team approach culture.
* Follow quality standards to ensure accuracy and quality of work performed by the Field Service personnel and jobs managed under their control.
* Work with Sales and Service Operations manager to create FSE development plans and to gauge skills base requirements for the product centres aftermarket offerings.
* Keep in close contact with key customers to develop and maintain strong relationships, promoting the company values.
* Together with our customers scope and plan field service jobs.
* Provide quotations and invoicing of service jobs.
* Assist when required by the Sales and Service Operation manager with business development duties and long-term strategic planning.
* Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
* Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers.
* Monitoring the finances at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the budgeted costs
Qualifications And Experience
* HNC in an engineering discipline or similar required.
* Ability of operate calmly under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
* Ability to manage projects to ensure quality, cost and deadlines are not compromised.
* Relevant experience with marine equipment
* High degree of computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
* Familiarity with ERP systems.
* Background from Field Service would be of benefit.
