About: Opened in 1922, Liphook Golf Club is a prestigious private members club that continues to invest in maintaining and improving the quality of both the mature heathland course and the clubhouse to the high standards demanded by todays golfers. The clubhouse consists of a formal dining room and lounge suitable for dinners and functions, a Spike Bar and a two-tier patio overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green, providing an idyllic haven to relax after a round of golf.
Job Description: We are looking for an Assistant Clubhouse Manager who is ambitious and wants to further their career in the hospitality industry. Reporting directly to the Clubhouse Manager, this is a pivotal role to ensure the successful and efficient running of the bar and catering facility. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have energy and drive, well developed organisational and planning skills, competent with the use of standard office software and POS systems along with diary management, staff rostering and management responsibilities.The Club operates seven days per week which makes this a busy and varied position with some weekend/evening work.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Clubhouse Manager overseeing daily bar and catering operations.
* Provide full cover for the Clubhouse Manager on days off and holidays.
* Deliver exceptional service to our members and guests.
* Cellar and bar management, including line cleaning, stock rotation and stock control.
* Work closely with the head chef to co-ordinate and manage events and functions.
* Proactively manage, train and mentor all clubhouse staff.
* Address and resolve any member concerns or issues, judging situations and acting promptly.
* Uphold club policies and procedures.
* Oversee financial and budgetary responsibilities related to bar and catering operations.
* Ensure the security of the Clubhouse, including managing daily opening and closing procedures.
* New business development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in food and beverage operations (minimum 3-4 years).
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; confident when interacting with colleagues, members and guests.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Work well in a challenging and pressurised environment.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
* Ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
* Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
* Excellent personal presentation.
