La Fosse is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a Global Aerospace company based in the West Midlands which you will be pivotal in the application of electronic system expertise within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
With a focus on NPI, you will play a central role in driving cutting-edge circuit solutions for the aerospace or defence industry. (this role does not require SC clearance)
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
1. Perform detailed design, construction, testing, and analysis of electronic circuits for new products, ensuring alignment with available technology, in-service reliability, cost, and schedule considerations.
2. Architect electronic products, including the development of their overall structure.
3. Apply Common Circuit Blocks to new products, adhering to Electronics Strategy.
4. Develop test plans to facilitate system integration and verification.
5. Conceptualize electronics solutions for bids and proposals.
6. Direct and conduct electronics fault investigations to the component level.
7. Provide support for test equipment specification, procurement, and validation.
8. Formulate electronics sub-system specifications.
9. Collaborate with engineering teams across different locations.
Essential skills:
10. Advanced Circuit Design: Expertise in electronic circuit design for new products, considering technology, reliability, and cost.
11. Problem-Solving Skills: Efficiently diagnose and resolve electronics faults to component level, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Desirable skills:
12. Experience in aerospace or a similar safety-critical industry is advantageous.
13. Knowledge of the electronic component supply chain and certification standards is desirable.
14. Familiarity with industry best practices is preferred.
15. Strong hardware design skills in Electronic Engineering, with proficiency in complex analysis, are essential.
16. Familiarity with electronic control of brushless DC motors is advantageous.
17. Knowledge of power electronics and power supply design is desirable.
