Account Manager - Business Development (Pharmaceutical Industry, SaaS Sales)

About the Role:
Our client, a rapidly growing SaaS provider in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a highly motivated Account Manager - Business Development to join their team. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, driving revenue growth, and building lasting relationships. The successful candidate will execute multi-channel sales campaigns and close high-value deals (€50-100k), playing a pivotal role in expanding our client’s footprint in the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition:
* Deliver a minimum of three new business deals per quarter in a hybrid SDR and Account Manager capacity for our client.
* Establish and foster relationships with decision-makers within pharmaceutical companies.
Sales Campaign Execution:
* Execute targeted sales strategies via phone, email, social media, and face-to-face interactions.
* Collaborate closely with the SDR team to maximise lead generation and conversion rates.
Pipeline Management:
* Maintain a robust and consistent sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are actively nurtured and progressed.
* Provide detailed pipeline reports and accurate sales forecasts to our client’s management team.
High-Value Deal Closing:
* Secure new logo deals valued at €50-100k by showcasing the SaaS platform’s value to prospective clients.
* Oversee the sales process, including presentations, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
Performance and KPIs:
* Meet and exceed KPIs, including revenue targets, conversion rates, and activity metrics.
* Leverage analytics and feedback to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
Requirements:
* Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in generating and closing new business opportunities, ideally within SaaS or tech-focused environments.
* Industry Expertise: Familiarity with or experience in the pharmaceutical sector is highly advantageous.
* Sales Skills: Strong abilities in prospecting, pipeline management, and negotiation of high-value contracts.
* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a persuasive and professional approach.
* Tools Proficiency: Competence with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.
* Results-Oriented: A self-motivated individual with a history of consistently achieving targets in dynamic, high-pressure settings.
