As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will manage multiple projects, lead a team of engineers and technicians, and work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and practical structural solutions. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to further your career in a supportive environment.
This position is ideal for a driven professional with a strong foundation in structural engineering, who is working towards or has achieved Chartered status.
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of structures, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and other relevant standards.
* Manage project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and delivery.
* Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for a variety of building types.
* Review and approve designs, providing guidance to junior staff and technicians.
* Conduct structural assessments, feasibility studies, and risk evaluations for new and existing structures.
* Represent the company in client meetings, project briefings, and on-site discussions.
* Engage in value engineering and sustainability initiatives to optimize designs.
* Support business development by preparing technical proposals and contributing to client pitches.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, structural analysis, and design.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards, including CDM Regulations.
* Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
* Experience leading and mentoring teams to deliver high-quality results.
* A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
