MANUAL MACHINIST/ MECHANICAL FITTER
Due to ongoing and consistent growth, this thriving, market leading business is looking for a Manual Machinist/Mechanical Fitter to join their well-established Staffordshire based team. Harnessing over 100 years’ experience in high end manufacturing, this role offers the opportunity to work within the industry’s most buoyant sectors including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics.
Working a Monday to Friday 37.5 hour week, you will attract a competitive starting rate of between £17.06 - £18.47ph dependent on experience + enhanced overtime rates + site work incentives + 25 holidays + contributory pension (4-8%) + outstanding sick pay benefits + enhanced benefits package, this is an outstanding opportunity to build/further a career in hygienic plant & process.

The Role
Working within a multi-skilled team, the Manual Machinist/Mechanical Fitter will provide best in class machined parts and assemblies across the business portfolio to assist in the delivery of full lifecycle turnkey projects both in the UK and worldwide. .
Core duties:
* Production of machined parts and assemblies to required tolerance and timescale using a manual lathe
* Building up complex mechanical assemblies including both hydraulic and pneumatic services both in the workshop and on site
* Working on food grade/pharmaceutical equipment including pressure vessels, agitators, mixers, homogenizers, seals, bearing and valves.
* Working alongside production and aftersales to produce required parts
* Occassional site work for installations/maintenance
Skills
* Experience working with Stainless steel
* Experience of working manual lathes
* Experience of hand fitting
* Experience of assembly
* Ability to interpret technical drawings
* C&G or BTEC Level 2 or Level 3 in Mechanical engineer (Or equivalent) as a minimum
The Person
The successful candidate will undoubtedly be a highly driven mechanical engineer with a background in machining stainless steel parts for hygienic settings.
You will be results driven with a confident and dynamic personality. Self-motivated you will pro-actively support existing and future teams. A strong focus on quality is essential.
