Responsibilities:
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing authoritative and timely advice and guidance to managers and employees. Your responsibilities will include:
7. Acting as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing advice and support in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and practises.
8. Maintaining effective customer relationships by delivering proactive and timely advice to support management decisions.
9. Managing a professional caseload, organising and prioritising work efficiently.
10. Providing professional advice across multiple sets of terms and conditions of employment and pay scales.
11. Advising and guiding managers in the implementation of various organisational policies.
12. Logging and recording casework outcomes for future evaluation and improvement.
13. Supporting and contributing to the shaping and improvement of the HR/OD Service.
14. Attending hearings and providing advice and support to managers or school governors.
15. Assisting in preparing for Employment Tribunal cases and appeals.
16. Attending meetings to advise on HR matters and contribute to effective team working.
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
17. A solid background in HR advisory roles.
18. In-depth knowledge of HR legislation, policies, and practises.
19. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
20. The ability to provide professional advice across various employment scenarios.
21. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
22. Proven experience in managing a caseload and delivering high-quality advice and support.
Desirable Skills:
23. CIPD qualification (or equivalent)
24. Experience working within the public sector or education sector.
Technologies:
25. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
26. Experience with HR software and databases.
