BPAS are an independent healthcare charity which, formore than 55 years, has been advocating and caring for women and couples whodecide to end a pregnancy. We are theleading specialist of abortion advice and treatment in the UK, supporting over100,000 women a year in over 50 healthcare clinics nationwide.
Over the last 12 months we have gone throughsignificant organisational change and are putting in place a new leadershipstructure, supported by a Senior Operational Team. This role is a key member of the ExecutiveLeadership Team.
BPAS vision is for a society in which women aretrusted to make their own reproductive choices with access to the informationand services needed to exercise those choices.The Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the Executive Leadershipteam, responsible for ensuring the safe, effective delivery of operationalservices and the delivery of BPAS objectives.
You will lead operationalperformance, service delivery and the achievement of organisational prioritiesthat focus on patient safety and choice. This encompasses all patient touchpoints including telemedicine, Booking and Information Centre and in Clinicservices.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) iscentral to BPASs mission of delivering safe, effective, and compassionatereproductive healthcare services.
As a COO, your responsibilities will includeensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of all operational services, fromtelemedicine and in-clinic care to client support services and supply chainmanagement. You will lead the operational performance across the organisation,ensuring that every aspect of our service aligns with our vision of empoweringwomen with the choice and access they deserve.
You willcontribute to the development and implementation of BPASs strategy, workingcollaboratively with other executives to ensure that our services meet thehighest standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Your leadershipwill be instrumental in shaping the operational structure of the organisation, optimisingcapacity, and driving service improvements that enhance patient outcomes andexperience.
We are seeking a COO with significant experiencein healthcare operations, particularly in managing complex, multi-site serviceswithin a tightly regulated environment. You will have a proven track record ofleading organisational change, developing new models of care, and managinglarge-scale estates and procurement functions. Your strategic insight andability to translate vision into actionable objectives will be critical as BPASnavigates a period of significant evolution and growth.
