Long-Term Teachers are working with an outstanding and fast-growing special school who are seeking an unqualified teacher to join their dedicated team. As the school expands, they are eager to welcome someone who shares their commitment to providing high-quality education and support to their students. They support students of secondary school age, but may be working at a level similar to the primary curriculum.
Role overview:
* Support students: Work with young people with additional needs, adapting your teaching approach to meet their individual needs and working closely with classroom teachers to enhance learning experiences.
* Develop learning plans: Assist in creating and implementing personalised interventions in core subject areas, fostering both personal and academic growth for each student.
* Deliver lessons: Take responsibility for leading lessons and supporting classroom activities, using your creativity to engage students and help them reach their potential
Who we’re looking for:
* Passionate about SEN: Individuals who are deeply motivated to work with young people with additional needs and want to make a difference in their lives.
* Proactive and resilient: Candidates who are ready to take on new challenges with enthusiasm and flexibility, adapting to a variety of situations
* Collaborative team players: People who enjoy working in a team and have a good sense of humour, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment
* Strong communicators: Professionals who can build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers, and who are skilled in engaging with young people
* Experience with SEN: While formal teaching qualifications are not essential, any relevant teaching and learning qualifications would be highly beneficial. Experience working with special educational needs is highly desirable.
