Norfolk Partnership Laboratory (NPL) provides essential services within Norse Highways, carrying out site and laboratory testing, alongside investigations on behalf of our clients. The testing of materials on-site and in the laboratory is a vital part of any construction process and the successful candidate will be working in dynamic, fast moving construction-related environment.
NPL are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our well-equipped and experienced team at County Hall in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role:
Within our established team, you will be responsible for ensuring site and laboratory testing is carried out in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Quality System. Collaborating closely with Laboratory Technicians and Senior Laboratory staff, you will provide accurate test data on a range construction materials, structural investigation and pavement investigations while ensuring time and financial targets are met.
Our Successful Candidate:
You will be able to demonstrate a keen interest for working within the construction industry, alongside:
1. Hold GCSE at Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science or equivalent.
2. Experience in maintaining accurate data and records.
3. Experience managing your own workload, multi-tasking and prioritising effectively.
4. Ability to follow defined guidance thoroughly to ensure compliance with standards.
5. Full UK Driving licence to meet travel requirements of the role, with the flexibility to stay away from home as and when required.
