This Sales and Marketing job offers a basic salary and an excellent bonus scheme which is designed to incentivise hard work and reward our sales and marketing staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
The main objective of the role is to increase the number of high quality job seekers that Maxim is working with – by both proactively identifying and approaching high quality candidates and by increasing the visibility of Maxim’s profile online to encourage applications from suitable candidates who may be starting to consider a job move.
Before starting the sales and marketing work for each specific recruitment assignment you will:
1. Gain from your manager a full understanding of the details of the live job vacancy to be filled from your manager
2. Agree with your line manager the best strategy to follow in order to create a live candidate shortlist; this will comprise a combination of research and direct approach work as well as proactive marketing to appropriate cohorts of candidates
Research and Direct Approach Work
3. Create a list of suitable candidates for a role from all available sources such as internal databases, LinkedIn, job boards etc
4. Contact candidates by email, LinkedIn InMail, and most importantly by phone to discuss their needs, preferences and suitability for our live roles.
5. Network known contacts to generate new possible candidates
6. Liaise daily with your manager to present identified candidates and discuss ways to further improve the quality of candidates identified
7. Manage multiple job vacancies and candidate searches at any one time
8. Improve on your industry knowledge via reading relevant trade press regularly and learning from others in the office
Proactive Marketing Work
9. Take responsibility for marketing up to 5 specific urgent live client roles across all online channels
10. Ensure visibility of the most urgent Maxim client vacancies and that suitable candidates are applying
11. Market our monthly blogs across all media to demonstrate our ‘expert status’ in the field and to encourage applications from previously ‘passive’ candidates.
Maxim Recruitment will provide the necessary sales and marketing training and assistance to succeed in these sales, marketing and resourcing duties. However, candidates must be pro-active in their approach to their duties, mastering their knowledge of the skill set they are working with.
Desired Skills and Experience
12. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the confidence and motivation to talk with senior professionals on the telephone as one of their main daily tasks. These calls will be a mixture of warm, cold and initial approach telephone calls.
13. Excellent organisational planning and multi-tasking skills should be evident in previous experience
14. Some previous experience of working in a sales based role or doing regular sales related tasks would be highly advantageous.
15. Knowledge of the construction sector is not needed (full training will be given) however a previous qualifications or knowledge of the construction sector would be helpful. We of course would welcome applicants who are qualified or experienced within the construction industry itself & who are looking at a change of career direction.
16. Candidates must be computer literate and able to use databases, Excel, Word, Outlook and be able to research information on the internet.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
17. Applicants should be literate and numerate. Achievement of GSCE (C or above) or a similar equivalent qualification in English & Maths is expected.

Working Hours
Working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm 5 days a week for full time staff, although many of our staff around the world will work extra time as required to ensure client satisfaction and that candidates are managed through the recruitment process to successful conclusion.
We are also willing to consider part time applicants willing to work upwards of 20 hours per week.
