Job summary
The Staff Experience and Retention Team are a small team whose remit is to enhance the experience of those working for AWP and thus retain staff.
We gather data, analyse issues and design solutions in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation to make the working lives of staff better and in turn ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate care to our service users, their families and carers.
Our team consists of Organisational Development, Staff Experience, Leadership & Management, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Occupational Health experts. We are a close team and hope to make a big impact.
The On-Boarding and Retention Projects Officer is an integral part of the team and whose primary remit is to ensure our new starters have a fantastic experience when they join AWP.
Main duties of the job
Analysing data and information and using this to influence, advise and support managers in creating a positive experience of work for their staff.
Frequently engaging with managers to raise awareness of and foster enthusiasm for the various initiatives and projects of the team (including presenting at meetings).
Liaising with recruiting managers, supporting them to deliver effective candidate care to new employees as they move through the pre-employment processes.
Maintaining systems to track new starters, from their job offer, through to the end of their first year with AWP.
Maintaining and developing the off-boarding process to better support our understanding of why people leave. The collation and analysis of data and information and the creation and use of spreadsheets and charts to underpin and support this work.
Being a focal point of contact for new staff, supporting them as they enter into their new team and through their local and AWP Corporate induction; liaising with L&D, line managers and supervisors to quality assure local induction.
Setting up and maintaining systems to survey new employees at three, six and nine months and at their first anniversary of joining AWP.
Setting up, delivering and supporting other retention projects across AWP, as required.
