Logistics Coordinator
Seeking an experienced Office Administrator / Logistics Coordinator. ***This is not a remote role*** Experience in a similar role is preferred, however full training will be given. You will need to be organised, have an eye for detail and be fluent in Microsoft Office packages.

The company is an international trader and plays an integral role in ensuring a smooth supply chain is offered to all of its partners around the globe. The business trades internationally and prides itself with a multi million pound turnover. Due to business growth, the company is seeking an additional coordinator to assist the team.
The Role
Joining the team as an Office Administrator / Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for liaising with the company’s suppliers and business customers. You will be managing your own portfolios of contracts (once handed over by the sales executives) from the ‘deal won’ stage right the way through to goods being delivered and payments being collected. Within this role you will be collating shipping documents, raising invoices and ensuring the customer has all required documentation to import their cargo. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role and have good understanding of freight / container shipments. The role will also include general filing, answering the telephone, assisting the MD and other managers of the company as and where required.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ideally have a strong understanding of logistics processes and have experience in office administration.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
* Ensure all shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner
* Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations
* Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all logistics activities
* Analyse logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
* Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize transportation and warehousing activities
* Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
* Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping, receiving, or inventory management
Candidate Requirements
* Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices
* Understanding of Customs / Export Paperwork and requirements
* A good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Tools (inc Outlook) (extended excel knowledge would be a huge advantage)
* Extremely organised with a great eye for detail
* A quick learner and able to understand and keep up to date multiple databases
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
* Experience with import / export a huge advantage
* Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
* The ability to work well under pressure (there will be deadlines that have to be met – set by logistical requirements)
* Due to location, a full UK driving license and own transport is essential
Hours and Salary
The role is a full time role between Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm. The salary will be between £26,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience) per annum. Immediate start for the right candidate. Company perks include regular staff outings, a bonus scheme and health insurance.
