The salary for this permanent Substance Misuse Nurse job is £36,635 - £42,743 per annum.
The focus of this role is to provide a clinical response to young people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Each young person will be co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services as appropriate. You will play a key role in assessing the nursing needs of a young person, considering their medical, social, cultural, and family circumstances.

Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
* First level registered nurse with recent relevant post qualification experience and a current PIN.
* Experience of working with young people.
* Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance.
* Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
* Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessary.
* Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development.
* Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude.
* An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other relevant professionals.
