Great opportunity to join our team in this new role as Environmental Coordinator!
You will support the development and progression of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) environmental agenda. Supporting the Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, and the CSR Manager, you will primarily work to ensure that Equip is meeting its commitments to lower its environmental impact across its owned operations and wider supply chain partners. This role will support the wider Rab CSR agenda, as well as assist relevant communication and reporting to showcase our activities.
Key Responsibilities of Environmental Coordinator (including but not limited to):
* Responsible for showing a reduction in operational carbon impact to meet long-term GHG reduction targets.
* Responsible for identifying and driving wider operational environmental reduction in areas that are material the strategy.
* Report in a timely, accurate and effective way to meet external stakeholder and legal requirements and to mark progress against internal KPIs e.g. SECR reporting, Annual Sustainability report, GHG accounting, HIGG/Worldly BRM.
* Engage supply chain partners (i.e. manufacturing suppliers, fabric mills, dye houses, retailers) to measure, report and minimise their environmental impacts.
* Collaborate with industry trade bodies to maximise impact, understanding, and share best practices.
* Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, environmental hotspots, target areas and progress against KPIs.
* Maintain, update and develop policies to address improvements in environmental impact.
* Identify research and use data to assist in futureproofing activities and standards against future ESG legislation.
* Calculate and reduce Product lifecycle impact and support honest and transparent reporting through Material Facts methodology.
* Raise awareness of the CSR agenda through effective communications and engagement internally and externally.
* Support other CSR requirements, outside of the social agenda i.e. social impacts.
To join us as Environmental Coordinator you must have:
Essential
* Degree in a related field preferably Environmental Management, Sustainable Development, or CSR, or relevant experience in a related role
* Experience of GHG accounting, SBTi or similar
* Excellent organisational and project skills
* Proven analytical and data-gathering skills
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Show independent working and problem-solving skills
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
* Experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Desirable
* Experience of Higg/Worldly, PEF or similar LCA analysis.
* Experience of sustainability reporting and frameworks.
* Experience of ESG legislation.
* Experience of apparel supply chain and manufacturing
* Demonstrate a passion for sustainability and a desire to make an impact
