Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?
Do you have experience supporting individuals who may find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years, there has been a significant focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences.
We are currently seeking practitioners to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and complex needs on a 1:1 basis for the remainder of the Academic Year at a specialist primary school in Nuneaton (with an option to progress onto a contract with the right school). As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but also running activities with the pupil(s) outside the classroom. Alongside the class teacher, you will help ensure the appropriate support is in place for the students.
This position is full-time, and you will receive comprehensive support and guidance. There will also be opportunities for additional training while in the role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils in a school or alternative setting, particularly those with SEND and complex needs, though we are also considering candidates without previous experience. This is your chance to secure your ideal role in a specialist school, with an immediate start.
