This position will be based at Stanmore House Surgery in Kidderminster.
Main duties of the job
Candidates will have proven experience in a primary care setting; however applications may be considered if the relevant skills are demonstrated. Non-medical prescribing necessary.
The role will include practice nurse duties such as wound care management, childhood immunisations, women's health and the general care of patients who attend general practice.
Involvement in LTCs and in particular diabetes, respiratory (spirometry), anticoagulation (INR Star) would be beneficial.
This role requires strong organisational skills, and a deep commitment to patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for relevant policies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
You will need to be a qualified nurse with an up to date NMC registration and evidence of continual professional development. The Practice is supportive in on-going training and development

The surgery comprises a team of healthcare professionals including 4 GP Partners, 3 Salary GP's, 3 Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants, and Administrative Staff.

We are currently seeking adedicated and compassionate nurse to join our team. This positionoffers part-time hours of 24 hours per week. If you are passionate aboutproviding high-quality care and have experience working in a primary caresetting, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. The successful candidate would be workingwithin an established friendly, caring and supportive nursing team, comprisingof 3 practice nurses and 3 HCAs. You will need to be a qualified nurse with anup-to-date NMC registration and evidence of continual professional development.The Practice is supportive in on-going training and development.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate should havegeneral practice nurse skills and a knowledge of chronic disease managementwould be an advantage. The skills would also include:
Cytology
Child Immunisations
Removal of Sutures
Travel vaccinations
Family Planning
Wound Care
Respiratory (preferably trained in Spirometry)
Diabetes
Injections and Vaccinations as per the nationalimmunisation programme.
General Nursing duties as required.
Telephone and face to face consultations are akey part of the job, so patient care and good communication skills areessential.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patientswithin the GP surgery setting
Provide health education and counselling topatients and their families
Requirements:
Registered Nurse qualification and currentregistration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Non-Medical Prescriber
Previous experience working in a primary care orGP surgery setting is highly desirable.
Sound knowledge of general practice nursingprocedures and best practices.
Competency in conducting patient assessments andmanaging common health conditions.
Proficient in administering medications andtreatments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Excellent organisational skills and ability toprioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with electronic medical records(EMIS) systems is preferred.
