Job Description
1. Manage a small procurement team in supporting procurement of varied sizes and complexity. Make decisions based on the application of standard processes and the consequences of actions. Recognise when decisions outside of standard processes need to be escalated to line manager or above.
2. Ensure that day to day operations run smoothly and targets are met, ensuring efficiency and quality of outputs. This includes providing advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
3. Responsible for managing one direct report, allocating work and ensuring quality of outputs. Provide coaching to support individuals and team members.
4. Work with Head of Finance & Commercial, to deliver business plan and team objectives.
The Successful Applicant
1. Experience of managing procurements of varied values and complexities and have a clear understanding of procurement principles and methodologies that underpin value for money.
2. The ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with colleagues in different business areas.
3. Experience of managing people.
