Our client, a well-established company in the block management sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant. This role will support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks, including invoicing, VAT returns, and credit control, with an opportunity to grow into managing Service Charge accounts. What You Can Expect Location – Beckenham (Hybrid after 4-6 weeks of full time office based work) Salary – Up to £35,000 Work Type – Permanent Main Responsibilities as a Finance Assistant Invoicing: Manage and process all incoming and outgoing invoices in a timely manner. VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns. Credit Control: Assist in managing credit control processes to ensure timely payments from clients. Service Charge Accounts: Support the finance team and gradually take responsibility for Service Charge accounts over time. Company Secretary Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to the company's secretarial functions. Basic Accounts: Handle day-to-day accounting duties, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth finance operations. Core Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Ideally 1 years of experience in block management. Prior experience or exposure to basic accounting tasks such as VAT returns, invoicing, and credit control. Willingness to learn and take on Service Charge accounts over time. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work full-time in the office for the first 4-6 weeks, with an opportunity for hybrid working thereafter.
