The Role
As a Hire Controller, you will be ensuring smooth coordination between the customers and internal teams. This role is pivotal in maintaining their reputation for excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Liaison: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, offering expert advice on the best equipment for their needs.
Booking Management: Coordinate equipment rentals, track availability, and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Sales Support: Identify upselling opportunities to maximise revenue while meeting customer requirements.
Administrative Duties: Handle contracts, process hire agreements, and maintain accurate records in our system.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, transport, and service teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Previous experience in a hire desk, customer service, or similar role (experience in the plant hire industry is advantageous).
Skills: Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with plant, material handling, or powered access equipment is a plus.
