About the role
Capital One Corporate Treasury is excited to share that it is looking for a Manager to lead a small team responsible for performing treasury activities (cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, funding & investment) in Finance and enhancing processes across the team.
The UK Treasury team is looking for an individual with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail to join its team.
What you’ll do
1. Lead a team of 4 associates responsible for all UK treasury activities
2. Own the UK Treasury control environment and ensure flawless execution of activities
3. Lead the creation of materials, analysis and presentation of ALCO to senior leaders including the business line CFO and Corporate Treasurer
4. Manage the funding and investment decisions for the business including making overnight deposit decisions with our banking partners
5. Challenge the status quo and identify process improvements and automation opportunities
6. Manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders - UK Finance teams (including interacting with and supporting the businesses CFO), US Treasury team and external partners (third party financial institutions, suppliers and regulators)
7. Bring an analytical eye to payment and cash flow trends to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate these
8. Closely collaborate with your US partners on the long term treasury strategy to ensure consistency at the Enterprise level
9. Bring a horizontal mindset and willingness to understand the international risk environment to make appropriate decisions impacting the UK business
10. Lead initiatives impacting the UK treasury function and provide appropriate and proactive communication and reporting to partners
11. Invest in continuous learning within and outside of Capital One
12. Invest in talent and performance of our associates to ensure long term retention and career development
What we’re looking for
13. Experience in Treasury or other operationally centered functions
14. People leadership experience, covering both performance and talent management
15. A strong risk management mindset
16. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and initiatives
17. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
18. Ability to identify and drive the solution to problems both real-time and long-term
19. Confident communicator and proven ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
20. Ability to take ownership of the role and set the context from the outset
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham offices.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
