Main duties of the job
Provides highly specialist psychological assessment of clients with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources.
To contribute to new methods of service delivery, in order to encourage optimal opportunities for access to service for vulnerable client groups.
To engage in joint working with other staff to optimise the use of resources.

We are seeking an 8a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist/Highly Specialist Psychological Therapistto work within the Employee Psychology Service. The role is Trustwide and will involve direct therapeutic activities and liaison/co-working with the Employee Support Service, and various other departments. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have experience of providing a range of psychological interventions for trauma, anxiety and depression etc, and will report directly to the Clinical Lead for Health and Well-being. You would need to be prepared to offer online video appointments (individual and group), some face-to-face appointments and support to teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
1. Qualification in psychological assessment and psychological therapy ( Postgraduate diploma in CBT, IAPT High Intensity CBT diploma, CAT diploma).
2. Registered with a professional registering body that is recognised by the Trust eg HCPC or psychological therapy body from the list of TEWV approved organisations
3. Accredited in a Governed Psychological Therapy via a recognised accrediting body as cited in the Trust's Governed Psychological Therapies: Definitions, Standards and Coding document
4. Trained in clinical supervision and care coordination.
Experience
Essential
5. Substantial experience of specialist model specific psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of clients across a wide range of care settings and age ranges.
6. Exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care coordinator within the context of a multidisciplinary team
7. Significant experience in consultation, clinical supervision and audit activities
Knowledge
Essential
8. Significant and specialist knowledge of the theory, practice, and evidence based in the use of complex methods of assessment, intervention and management of complex cases based on psychological therapy models across a range of client presentations and care settings.
9. Significant experience of at least one Trust approved governed Psychological therapy that meets criteria for Psychological therapist employment in the Trust
10. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinical sensitive information to clients, their family, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
11. Skills in providing clinical supervision and consultation to other professional and nonprofessional groups.
