JOB TITLE: Environmental Health Officer
LOCATION: Exeter
SALARY: £19.35/Hr

The Role:
1. To assist the Environmental Health Manager in providing a regulatory service and carrying out the clients' statutory duties.
2. The investigation of complaints relating to commercial premises.
3. The collection of evidence associated with contraventions for use in court proceedings.
4. The overseeing of works being conducted as a result of legal action.
5. The administration of various schemes within commercial premises.
6. To undertake any duties that may be assigned by the Principal Environmental Health Officer / Environmental Health and Licensing Manager.
7. To carry out research, monitoring and provision of information and statistics as required.
The Candidate will need:
1. To hold a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB Certificate of Registration.
2. To have solid experience in producing clear and accurate reports, including problem-solving solutions.
3. A good level of experience in dealing with complaints/enquiries from members of the public.
4. To hold a full driving licence.
5. To be able to work independently or as part of a team.
6. To have experience working within Environmental Health Services or the work covered by the post e.g. noise/pollution/contaminated land.
7. To have a good understanding of PACE, CPIA, RIPA, and other Acts associated with investigations.
8. To be prepared to work out of hours on a monthly basis.
SUMMARY:
This role is being offered on a temporary basis. Working hours to fill M-F, between 9am-5pm.
