Company
Our client are a professional practice of Mechanical and Electrical and Public Health (MEP) building services engineers with six offices across the UK. The practice remains wholly owned by the Directors and has grown organically to its present strength. In addition to the traditional core MEP engineering services disciplines, the company embodies in-house expertise in low-carbon and low-energy design, renewable-energy generation and application, BREEAM, sustainability and facilities management. Key sectors in which they are involved in include Commercial, Further Education, Residential, and Laboratories. Role
This business are seeking an individual who can help drive the 3D Revit standards forward for the business, whilst still helping out with 2D CAD work from time to time, although the majority time spent will be on Revit.
1. Creating and maintaining 3D models of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems using Revit software
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers and other team members to ensure accurate representation of MEP systems in the building design.
3. Assisting in the coordination and clash detection of MEP systems with other trades.
4. Generating detailed drawings, diagrams and documentation for construction and installation purposes
5. Staying up to date with the latest advancements in Revit software and MEP design practices.
Qualifications / Experience
6. HNC / Degree educated in a relevant field and related subject such as CAD design, Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
7. Knowledge and experience working with Revit software in a MEP environment.
8. Good understanding of MEP systems, including industry codes, standards and best practices
9. Previous experience with a consultancy or similar business.
10. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members.
