POSITION OVERVIEW/ PURPOSE
The National Account Manager is responsible for revenue creation, execution and developing client accounts. In this home based role, National Account Manager oversees a specific client base using goal oriented planning and execution to achieve revenue targets and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
4. Selling Sensitech’s offering of integrated information management systems and temperature-monitoring devices that provide customised in-transit solutions for environmentally sensitive and high-value products within the territory;
5. Responsible for developing vertical sales opportunities in existing accounts as well as securing new business from a client base in the food industry.
6. Develop strategic plans, for large multi-national accounts and implement them in order to meet and exceed the sales goals of the territory;
7. Act as primary communication conduit between the customer and the company;
8. Collaborate, as necessary, with sales colleagues in other regions and geographies in support of harmonised global account management.
9. Actively manage QBRs/regular business reviews with larger accounts in the territory.
10. Assist management in defining future market needs through direct collaboration with the Product Marketing Management team;
11. Provide rolling forecast of projected sales on a monthly and quarterly basis;
12. Working with marketing to develop programs which assist in creating powerful tools for sales, as well as techniques to optimize the sales cycle;
13. Participate in relevant trade events and congresses;
QUALIFICATIONS
14. Bachelor’s degree in food sciences, business or other related discipline;
15. A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated sales experience within the Food and/or Retail markets, promoting the sales of consumables, equipment and/or services; the ideal candidate has had experience selling to major food (retail) chains; alternatively, he/she has sold perishables and/or logistics services for perishable (food) products; Experience selling at Head Office level is highly desired;
16. Demonstrated ability to deal with and be successful in highly complex, multi-divisional customer account structures;
17. Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization; Fluency in English, both written and spoken is a must;
18. Strong systems skills and knowledge of MS Office applications; and use of SalesForce.com;
19. Confident and target-oriented individual with the desire to delight the customer;
20. Self-starter with solid organization skills, attention to detail and exemplary time management skills;
21. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to London area frequently
22. Ability and willingness to travel extensively in the assigned territory (up to 70%) as well as to the Sensitech EMEA office in Sassenheim, the Netherlands; occasional intercontinental travel on a case-by-case basis.
23. In possession of exemplary ethical standards and business practices.
