We are offering an hourly rate of £12.32. Shifts will be 9hrs a week; 3hrs every Monday 2.30-5.30, and every Saturday for 6hrs flexible on Chris commitments.
Due to a change in circumstances, we are looking for a Support Worker to join our team based in Hawick for a specific gentleman! We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Support Worker to support our service user to complete tasks and enjoy social activities.
About the Role:
Our Service user has mental health conditions and needs support to mainly plan his week and his activities to be kept on the straight and narrow!
The Monday shift between 2.30-5.30 will be used to complete volunteer work, to keep on top of his washing and housework, ensuring the house is kept clean and odour-free. This time will also be used to plan for the week ahead, including the second shift on a Saturday which may include going to a football game, as he is a big Rangers fan!
Our service user loves to go on holiday, so there may be an opportunity to go on holiday with him.
The successful Support Worker needs to be firm but fair and encourage our service user to make better life choices!
No personal care is necessary for this role as this gentleman is able to do so independently.
About Them:
Our service user is a young gentleman who can be very impressionable, and therefore we are looking for someone who can support him to make the right choices! He loves to watch a Rangers game and go on holiday!
