Do you have experience working with students with SEMH needs? Do you have an ability to forge working relationships with hard to reach students? If you are looking for an exciting new opportunity, then New Directions wants to hear from you. New Directions is proud to be working with a well respected SEMH Provision in Manchester that is looking for a SEMH Learning Support. This role would suit a passionate educator with experience in similar roles such as Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Support Worker or Mentor. A strong ability to forge working relationships with hard to reach students is essential - as is the ability to deescalate challenging behaviour with secondary aged students. Experience of supporting teaching and learning is desireable but not essential.
We have a range of FREE CPD training courses, from Safeguarding to Autism Awareness to Team Teach, which will teach you the relevant skills and attributes necessary for supporting children in our schools. We will also accept Health & Care, Social Care, Youth Worker and Coaching backgrounds!
