When it opened in 2012 Beauty Bazaar transformed the landscape of luxury beauty retail. The store provides the ultimate indulgent beauty experience and the UK’s first, one-stop destination for all things beauty. On the First floor we have our lavishly appointed Champagne and cocktail bar, the WOW Bar offering an extensive Champagne and wine list as well as delicious cocktails.

About the role...
As Retail Manager you will be responsible for achieving planned sales targets and department objectives through effective use of the sales team ensuring highest possible standards of customer service in a manner that fully supports Harvey Nichols Ways of Working.
6. Responsible for the proactive management of your team, ensuring that the highest levels of customer service face – face or via the telephone are delivered at all times.
7. Responsible for the outcome of all department internal and external customer queries and complaints, either written or verbal. Ensure that they are dealt with at all levels in a professional and efficient manner and inform the Store Manager of any issues which have not been satisfactorily resolved.
8. Responsible for the development of strategies to enhance customer loyalty which results in additional revenue.
9. Ensure each team member is developed to their full potential throughout their Harvey Nichols career, delegating tasks where possible to ensure that all team members are gaining experience and knowledge.
10. Responsible for maintaining a motivated team by ensuring that regular reviews are carried out and that the necessary capability, disciplinary and grievance procedures are followed.
11. Responsible for the achievement of financial aims for the department, particularly sales and the monitoring and improvement of margin and GP contribution in line with budget.
12. Responsible for actively pursuing business opportunities via promotional activities, events in store and seeking out new business where appropriate.
13. Communicate effectively with the buying team to ensure stock is tailored to the local customer and that sell through rates are maximised and under/over achieving brands are highlighted effectively.
14. Have a thorough understanding of stock management systems and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to minimise stock loss and ensure stock accuracy.
15. Maintain all stock movement procedures and ensure staff adhere to them, including twice yearly stocktake.
16. To assistant the General Manager to minimise stock loss and ensure security of the building and its contents though optimisation of security resources and ensure adherence to security procedures for all employees
17. Responsible for the teams understanding and adherence to all security, health and safety and store regulations and policies to ensure a safe environment is maintained for customers, employees and suppliers.
18. Responsible for direct reports and the management of turnover for the dept.
19. Support the Store Manager to ensure that the Cash Office, Security, Maintenance and Stock Movement functions are providing a comprehensive service to the business and that there are adequate controls in all administration areas.
