Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to develop the mechanisms around the handling, management and improvement of data concerned with our national Sustainability product. This product ranges from energy efficiency to waste management across client buildings, from healthcare to banking clients.
This role will take ownership of data produced across the process of the sustainable service, which is complex, originates from many different sources, has different owners and is of varying qualities. You will monitor and report the quality of business-critical data enabling the identification, recording and management of data issues to understand the scale, complexity and impacts to enable appropriate prioritisation and remediation ensuring data remains fit for purpose. You will foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven Sustainability decision-making across the organisation, providing training and resources to enhance data literacy and analytics capabilities. This is a fantastic role to make strategic impact across a pivotal service for a market leading company in the built environment.
Actions will include:
1. Develop, Own and Govern the employer approach to data management within Sustainability (Social & Environment).
2. Act as data owner for Sustainability.
3. Define, implement and ensure delivery of a comprehensive set of Sustainability data policies and standards that are aligned to enterprise wide data policies and standards.
4. Work collaboratively across sustainability and other enterprise teams to ensure that data quality standards are fully integrated into the design and delivery of our products.
5. Support the wider senior management team with the development and implementation of the programme data strategy and principles across Sustainability for employer and our customers.
6. Responsible for process mapping and analysis, working across multiple projects, from inception through to delivery and embedding.
7. Creation and implementation of standardised data governance processes to support delivery of multiple products in multiple parts of the Group.
8. Identify, collate and analyse complex and incomplete data sets across numerous systems required to inform the projects and product development to the Head of function.
9. Subject Matter Expert in issues related to data quality, data management policies and procedures, working closely with Risk, Security, Architecture and BI teams to ensure data policies and data standards align to enterprise requirements and standards.
We need from you:
1. A level of experience in providing support, advice and technical insight regarding Data Management (in Sustainability) working across business functions with colleagues, customers and suppliers at various levels of seniority.
2. Experience of working in Data Management / Analysis, including governance, quality and process design.
3. Ability to communicate complex data policies into a format that can be understood by different audiences.
